Free Freelance Project Quote Estimator
Add up the work, the revisions you expect, the costs you'll pass on and a buffer for the unknown. The estimator shows labor, the subtotal and a suggested quote.
your result
- Suggested quote (before tax)
- $2,607.00
- Labor
- $2,100.00
- Subtotal
- $2,370.00
- Contingency
- $237.00
(work hours + revision hours) × hourly rate
Labor + outside costs + licensing fee
Excludes sales tax and VAT: whether you charge tax depends on your registration and where you and your client are, so add it separately. A planning estimate, not accounting advice. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
how the calculation works
- 1Labor = (estimated work hours + revision hours) × hourly rate
- 2Subtotal = labor + outside costs + licensing fee
- 3Suggested quote = subtotal × (1 + contingency)

assumptions and limits
- Every input must be zero or more. Contingency is a share of the subtotal from 0% to 100%.
- The quote excludes sales tax and VAT. Whether you charge tax depends on your registration and where you and your client are, so add it separately.
- Outside costs are passed through at cost. If you add a handling fee, include it in the outside costs.
- The contingency covers uncertainty in your own estimate; it isn't a discount or a markup the client has to see.
